Historical Note: Andrew Jackson was born July 2, 1830 in Portland, Maine to Samuel Jackson. He married Harriet Emily Crooker (b. October 12, 1832 in Bath) on September 18, 1853. They had children Frank Cooker (b. 1854), Clara Ellen (b. 1861), Richard Willis (b. 1861), Charles Thurston (b. 1863) and Alice Harriet (b. 1867). Jackson was a commission merchant and auctioneer on Front Street in Bath, Maine. He died in 1895 at Bath. Andrew Jackson could not be linked to Captain Rufus Randall or the Randall family. The memorandum of Jackson was assigned, accession no. 71.110.107.
