Historical Note: Captain Ansel Alfonso Auspland was born in 1853 in Searsport, Maine to Samuel and Martha Page.  He married Annie Wilda (daughter of William and Alice Dwelley Towers).  They had two children, Lucy Abiah (born December 21, 1879) and Dellie.  Captain Auspland was master of the Banner (schooner) 1891, 1893-1894, and 1896-1897.  He also commanded the vessels Oak Grove (Schooner), Brunette (Schooner), and Amazon (Schooner).  Captain Auspland died on July 10, 1916 in Searsport, Maine.  He is buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Searsport.
